At Cherish, we believe that local churches are uniquely positioned to support families and help them thrive within caring, connected communities. By partnering with Cherish, you can extend your church’s ministry to meet families where they are, offering real hope and tangible support.
What is Cherish?
Cherish is a charity dedicated to helping families in need. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, practical help, or connecting families to local resources, we walk alongside families during challenging times. Working together with churches, schools, and community organisations, we build strong networks of support so that no family feels they are alone.
How Your Church Can Get Involved
Become a partner church in your local area
You can help us to launch or run a Cherish project in your local area by becoming a partnering church, or churches together initiative.
As a partnering church, your role is central to the success of Cherish in your community. Together, we can:
Provide practical support to families through co-ordinated acts of kindness towards local families.
Provide more in-family hands-on support by providing volunteers (who would be offered training).
Create a welcoming space for families to meet with our Cherish Co-ordinator or participate in support groups and events.
Create community services and events that would be of real value to families in your local community, based on our ‘on the ground’ understanding of needs through our co-ordinator.
Be a general source of encouragement, prayer, and practical love for families in need.

Help Us Raise Awareness
You may not feel that your church is ready for the commitment of becoming a local partner church, but you can still help us by raising awareness of Cherish within your congregation.
By sharing Cherish’s mission with your congregation, you can help us to provide an opportunity for your church to join us in prayer and financial support.
