Creating a nurturing community for families in Faversham.
We are a newly formed charity, developing a partnership between local churches and primary schools with the aim of providing a loving community for families in our local town of Faversham.
The plan is to provide a link worker who will work in partnership with schools to help families in need to find and access services that would help them, and also to gain access to a wider support network through the local church community.
We would also work in partnership with the local community to identify and develop services needed to support families with needs specific to our local area/population.

For Families
We offer help finding the right local services to help with whatever your difficulty or situation, as well as offering you the caring and practical support of a wider community. There is no cost to you for anything we offer.

For Primary Schools
We aim to provide a level of support for any families under pressure, for any reason. We would aim to provide care and support at an early stage, helping families to avoid the need for social services involvement. We are a place where you can refer families for additional help and support, without the need for your concerns to have reached a specific ‘threshold’.

We help churches to find a practical means of building relationships with and meeting the needs of their local community.
About Cherish-Families
Cherish is a new project, aimed at developing a strong sense of community between schools, supporting local churches, and families. We can help schools to offer a community of support to any families that may benefit from practical support with all aspects of life, we help churches to build community and demonstrate love to their local community in practical ways, and we help families to find a supportive community that can really help with practical challenges.
